![]() I can talk about how perfect my little boy is all day. He's sharp, smart, vicious, assassin (was at a time but who cares?), will do anything to his friends (all of the squad will for that matter), kind (kinda), strong. So basically Hunter x Hunter is not only my favorite thing in the world but also features my most loved character ever. Tears of joy, her boy is a grown up now! That's how perfect his family is. So he's craving his own way defying mostly his older brother Illumi. Anyway, he's a rebel who hates their lifestyle. ![]() Killua: he's a Zoldyck, his family members are the most famous assassins of the Underworld. The friendships he makes, the experience they pass, will influence his personality a lot. Gon undergoes an amazing transformation, like most shonen main characters, he isn't the brightest but that doesn't stop him from stealing your heart. I'm telling you his father is extremely intelligent and will probably do anything to avoid meeting his kid and his friends especially. He might be hasty but he's so kind and courteous. Gon: he's ready to do anything for his friends. I think Togashi could've done better but hey, that's only one in the midst of hundreds (or less). I despised him (not in a good way, like the way you're supposed to hate villains) because he annoyed me as a character to no end. I can't help but mention Bomber, he annoyed to end. The chimera Ants villains (and I beg to differ) comes close, but we spend more time with the PT so we get to know them more. Their relationship, its complexity, their personalities will blow your mind. ![]() I love the phantom troupe even though they ruined my dear Kurapika's life. If you're a villain kind of person or any kind of person, you won't help but fall in love with the villains Togashi created. What amazes me is how I still remember every person even though it's been a year since I last read/watched Hunter x Hunter. When you have a huge set of characters (I already mentioned tons of names), you worry they'll be ignored, background decor, forgotten. I'll talk a little more about the characters before moving to the plot: Plus some other great characters who will steal your heart like Meruem and Alluka. We'll meet some outstanding fighters like Biscuit, Kite, Zeno and Silva, the greatest hunter Netero (the chairman) and some wicked villains like the beautiful Pitou, Feitan (I really like him even if he's evil) and Chrollo. No one can guess how our main characters will transform. Gon always finds people put in his way to help him to be stronger. And well, who can blame them?Īfter watching the whole series, the exam looks so easy, honestly. He also encounters Hisoka, a creepy hot weird magician, and a very strong guy. Not just any ex-assassin, his family is the most known in this field and unluckily for him, he's the favorite promising child. And finally, Killua aka my favorite character and my anime crush, a former pro assassin. He also meets Leorio who wants to become a Doctor but unfortunately, needs money, so the Hunter exam seemed like a great opportunity to help him achieving his goal. One of the seven most beautiful things in the world. His people were massacred by the Phantom Troupe after stealing their scarlet eyes. He wants to avenge his people by becoming a blacklist Hunter, hunters who track down the most dangerous and wanted criminals. In his journey, he befriends Kurapika, the last survivor of the Kurta Clan. After discovering that his father is the best hunter in the world and despite his aunt Mito-san's complaints, he's going to pass the exam and then do everything to find his father, Ging. It all starts when Gon Freecss decides to take the Hunter exam following his father's footsteps. They have many privileges and can do some great achievements like discovering new species, capturing the most notorious criminals and discovering ruins. Minor spoilers of the first few volumes, nothing major. Hunter x Hunter tells the adventures of four young friends: Gon, Killua, Kurapika and Leorio. ![]() Hunter x Hunter is my favorite thing in the world. After watching it about 3 times (twice 1999 and once 2011, however, I watched some episodes of the latter multiple times), I decided to read the manga. Rating of the whole manga: all the stars in the world. Status: on-going/currently on damn hiatus.
